Lester C. Venable, age 80, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, January 05, 2014 at his residence. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture as a supervisor for weights and measures, member of Deerfield Baptist Church, and a member of Gideon International.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper A. and Minnie Coleman Venable.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 07, 2014 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Deerfield Baptist Church at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 08, 2014, with Tony Gordy officiating. Mr. Venable will lie in state at the church from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Deerfield Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. Family suggests memorials be made to Deerfield Baptist Church Building Fund and Gideon’s International.
