TENNESSEE VALLEY/THE SHOALS-Due to the bitterly cold weather we will list here warming stations, places to get in out of the cold. If you know of anyone who is in need for a warm place to get a little relief from the cold….please check here for the nearest place to you and see to it they get the help they need.

The Homeless Care Council just received word that Highland Baptist Church will open their Christian Life Center tonight at 6pm for those in need of a warm place to stay. Highland Baptist is located at the corner of Chisholm Rd and Simpson St in North Florence.
The Salvation Army Emergency Shelter in Florece has adjusted its schedule to accommodate individuals at risk due to severe cold weather. Check-in for single men, women and families is at 5 p.m. as space is available. Individuals and families may be able to stay at the shelter during the day, with monitors on duty, if they don’t have another place to go while weather presents a danger to their health or safety.

In DeKalb County, Union Grove Baptist Church has a warming station located on Union Grove Road in Crossville, just off Highway 68 across from the Noah’s Ark Learning Center. It will be open until noon Wednesday. For more information, call (256) 528-7360.
There will be two places for shelter open during the inclement weather in Hackleburg the first will be the senior center located off Ray road the second will be the gymnasium located Hackelburg Community Church.
Athens 1st United Methodist Church will have the Beasly Center, located on the corner of Bryan St. and Marion St., open as a warming station from 5 pm Sunday night through 8 am Wednesday morning.
Warming centers in Marshall County have been designated as First Baptist Church of Albertville, First Baptist Church of Guntersville, Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Albertville Rec Center, Arab Rec Center, Arab Library, Boaz Rec Center, Boaz Library, Albertville Senior Center, Arab Senior Center, Boaz Senior Center, Douglas Senior Center, Grant Senior Center, Guntersville Library, Guntersville Senior Center, and Martling Senior Center.
The warming station will be held at the Church of God of Prophecy on Widows Lane in Carbon Hill. The doors will open Sunday night at 8:00pm and will also be offered on Monday and Tuesday nights.
