leslie-vanderbilt-1476875768Mr. Leslie Vanderbilt passed away on October 18, 2016 at NHC Healthcare in Pulaski. He was born in Tarrytown, New York on October 17, 1919 and was 97 years old.
Mr. Vanderbilt was a pilot in World War II serving as a Captain in the United States Army Air Forces. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 34 years retiring as Post Master and was owner of Flowerland with his wife, Betty, in Cowan, Tennessee. He was a lifelong Methodist and member of Cowan Fellowship Church
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 20th from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at Cowan Fellowship Church, Cowan, Tennessee.
Funeral Service will follow visitation on Thursday at 3:00pm at Cowan Fellowship Church with Rev. Lee Singley officiating.
Burial will take place in Montgomery Cemetery, Cowan, Tennessee.
Memorial Donations are suggested to Cowan Fellowship Church, 609 East Cumberland, Cowan, Tennessee 37318.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Forgy Vanderbilt, parents, Harry and Gladys Brown Vanderbilt and a sister, Mildred (Lars) Skotte.
He is survived by his,

Daughter, Donna (Jeff) Bain of Pulaski, TN.
Grandchildren, Douglas (Veasna) Vanderbilt of Los Angeles, CA.
Forrest (Bethany) Vanderbilt of Alexandria, VA.
Nathan Bain of Thousand Oaks, CA.
Rachel Bain of Auburn, AL.
Great-Grandchildren, Katelyn, Eleanor, Malcolm and Solomon
Nephew, Skip (Debbie) Skotte of Cowan, TN.
Nieces, Randi (Boyd) Honeycutt of Winston Salem, NC. and Jean Arnold of West Yarmouth, MA.
