James Earl Richardson – Obituary

James Earl Richardson, age 84 of Tuscumbia, died Monday, October 17, 2016.
His family will receive friends Friday, 12-2 p.m. at Valdosta Church of Christ. His funeral service will follow in the church auditorium with Daryl Richardson, Gary Puryear and Ed White officiating.

Mr. Richardson was a native of Texas and a long-time resident of Tuscumbia. He was a member of Valdosta church of Christ where he served as an Elder for over forty years. He was retired from the Railroad and was a man of many talents such as, Brick Mason, Carpenter, Mechanic, and Gardner. He was a student of the Bible, a metal detecting enthusiast and a “collector”. Preceding him in death are his parents, Thomas Grady and Maggie Theresa Richardson, his wife, Barbara Lucille Richardson, daughter, Janice Hyde, brothers, Harold Richardson, Roy Richardson, and sisters, Doris Locke and Joy Cooper.

He is survived by his son; Daryl Richardson (Lydia) of Killen, daughters; Judy Cosby (Bill) of Tuscumbia, Sara Kirk (Mark) of Lewisburg, TN, brother; Virgil Richardson (Jonell) of Fort Worth, TX; son-in-law; Rick Hyde of Florence; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Alvin Alston, Howard Caperton, Wallace Handley, Jerry Owen, Les Wilson and Coy Wingo.
