Leora Alma Hull Webb, age 94, was born in Adrian, Michigan. Her parents were Leo James Hull and Bessie Zimmerman Hull. She had two brothers, Vernon Hull and Wendell Hull and one sister, Lillian VanDoren. All of which preceded her in death. Mrs. Webb has one daughter, Kathy Trimm Harris; three grandchildren, Leora Denise Jones, Donna Marie King, and Charles Ferrell Trimm. Three great-grandchildren, Jordan (Tanner) Carpenter, Bryant King, and Sydney Trimm.
Mrs. Webb was married to James Webb for forty-three years before his death in 2015.
Mrs. Webb was a loving wife, caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She spent many hours playing with her grandchildren and taking them on trips. She was a second mother to her grandchildren; they spent many week-ends at Gramer and Papa Jim’s house. Today Denise is wearing one of Leora’s favorite suits from the 1950’s.
Mrs. Webb was a English teacher for two years at Vina High School prior to her long career as a business educator at Bevill State College for over thirty years.
Ms. Leora was born with a competitive nature. She graduated from Adrian, Michigan high school where she was a member of the swim team, a majorette, captain of the girl’s athlete association, and played the violin in the school orchestra. Even in her older years, Ms. Leora kept her competitive Spirit while playing trivial pursuit, card, and other games at the nursing home. At times, if she thought she might lose, she might bend the rules so she would win.
Mrs. Webb enjoyed traveling. She and Jim visited every state and many foreign countries. They were members of an RV club and enjoyed many outings with friends.
Ms. Leora was a member of Hamilton First Baptist Church for many years. She and Jim served on numerous committees and were active members of the choir. They both loved their church and church family.
Ms. Leora was ready to meet her Lord and Savior. She spoke of seeing God and her family members in heaven.
Visitation will be 11-12 noon, Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Hamilton First Baptist Church service will follow at 12 noon with Bro. Jeremy Sorrells officiating. Interment at Hamilton Memory Gardens.
