A good ole guy, Leonard Bradley McGehee, Jr., known by all as Brad, died unexpectedly in his shop which he knew as his special place in Tupelo on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Brad was 67 years old. Born to the late Leonard B. McGeHee, Sr. and Charlie Mae Hulsey McGeHee on December 30, l958, Brad grew up in the Palmetto Community in a great home as the baby of his siblings. He was always an outdoorsman and an ace self employed mechanic despite birth defects on his hand. No problem was too big or too small for him. Brad loved adventure, challenges and opportunities to exceed his abilities. He was one of the best BBQ men in these parts, with his self made grill on wheels. Folks everywhere loved his food and sought it. He loved participating in area cook-offs where he often placed first. Brad loved his motorcycle, cars and trucks-anything with an engine that needed to be repaired. He was a Baptist.
A time of remembrance and reflection will be held between the hours of 3 PM-5 PM Friday at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo. Family and friends may come and go during these hours. There will be no formal service. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving friends they grew up with.
Brad leaves behind his son, Michael McGehee and wife , Amy of Arlington, TX; his daughter, Trisha Millf of Arlington, Tx; his grandchildren, Charlie and Lucy McGehee and Paige Mills. His siblings survive him, Connie Tullos of Tupelo, Betsy Fortson of Brandon, MS., Sue Hancock of Nacogdoches, TX and Nancy Harrison of Russellville, AL. , numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families and a host of friends.
