Mr. Leon Wilkinson, age 61 of Fackler, Alabama passed away to his heavenly home on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at his home.
Leon enjoyed being outside and working in the garden to give plants and food away to everyone. He loved to fish and hunt with his son. He also loved his sweets and pastries. Leon loved to cook and encouraged his wife that she could cook as well.
Leon is survived by his wife of 23 years, Amanda Wilkinson; son Jonathan Wilkinson (Natalie); step daughter, Emily Goins (Robert); grandchildren, Serenity Stanford, Christopher Carroll, Lexi Goins and Logan Goins; brothers, Russell Wilkinson Jr. (Martha), Stanley Wilkinson (Betty), Jessie Wilkinson, James “Buddy” Wilkinson; sisters, Tharol Brown, Dianne Morris (Barry) and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Wilkinson Sr. And Verdie Mae Wilkinson; sisters; Rosemary Jackson and Carol Wilkinson; brother, Johnny Wilkinson; sister-n-laws, Debbie Wilkinson, Shelia Wilkinson and Teresa Wilkinson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2024 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Guinn and Rev. Dustin Henshaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Inglish Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
