 Leon John “L.J.” Burleson of Brilliant, Alabama, 80 Born:  October 29, 1938, in Haleyville, Winston County, Alabama to the late Wallace Burleson and Edna Morgan Burleson.  Died:  Friday, May 17, 2019, at his residence in Brilliant, Marion County, Alabama.

Leon was born October 29, 1938, in Haleyville, Alabama to the late Wallace Burleson and Edna Morgan Burleson. He attended school at Haleyville and was a resident of that area while growing up. He has been a resident of Brilliant, Alabama since 1972. He owned and operated his own business, Burleson Roofing for many years. He was an avid coon hunter and a member of the Alabama Coon Hunters Association and the Marion County Sportsman Club. He enjoyed fishing and gardening, he had a green thumb and could make anything grow. He loved spending time with his family and having gatherings with them.

Visitation:  6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday night, May 19, 2019, at the Miles Funeral Home, Winfield, Alabama

Funeral Service:  11:00 a.m., Monday, May 20, 2019, at the McGraw Memorial Chapel of Miles Funeral Home, Winfield, Alabama.

Burial:  Goldmine Cemetery, Brilliant, (Gold Mine Community) Marion County, AL.

Officiating:  Jerry Self.
