Lenear Stewart Jones, age 99 of Jasper, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center.
Known affectionately as Maw Maw to her grands and great-grands, she was a dedicated wife, caring mother, and supporting grandmother. Another title she carried proudly was Aunt Lenear, to her many nieces and nephews. In life, she was a friend to many of her peers, and servant of her Lord and Savior through years of dedicated service in the United Methodist Women’s groups. She loved her churches, Zion United Methodist and Williams Chapel United Methodist, and the many dear members she knew. She was a lifelong resident of Walker County, Alabama, and a local business woman of more than 45 years with her first husband and Son.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, 6 brothers, and 1 sister. Her husband Curtis Loren Stewart, son Kevin Lewis Stewart, and Husband Harold Barrett Jones.
She is survived by her grandchildren: Weylin Heath Stewart (Bethany), Valerie Margeret Stewart, Stephanie Stewart Bijolle (Jesse), and Brandon Nicholas Sims (Samantha).. Her great-grandchildren: Nathaniel Loren Stewart, Andrew Brock Stewart, Abby Nichole Bijolle, Jaxcen Alan Bijolle, Jamal Oneill Stewart, Brenna Jace Bijolle, Steven Lucas Sims, Noah Sims.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Williams Chapel Cemetery. Anthony Gilbreath will officiate.
