Lena Mae Carr Dotson, age 80, of Hartselle, Alabama passed away Feb. 12, 2017. She was born Aug. 19, 1936, to Oneus L Carr and Goldie White Carr.
Lena was retired from Wal-Mart in Hartselle after 16 years of dedicated service as a maintenance associate.
She was the loving mother of Donna Kaye Gurliaccio, Cecil Dewaye Dotson, Delinda Dotson Meherg (Trent); and the late Darrin Oscar Dotson, all of Hartselle. She was the proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandchild. She was the sister of Leon Carr, Avon Park, Florida, Kenneth Carr, North Carolina, Faye (Ronald) Armstrong, Sneed, Alabama, and the late Irene (Felt) Kilgore, Lillian (James) Shaw, and Bill (Dimples) Carr.
There will be no local service performed.
In lieu of flowers, she requested a donation be made to St. Judes.
Special thanks to my niece, Jawana Root, and my sons, Justin Terry and Jesse Dotson, for their help and the loving care given to my sweet mother for the past six months.
