Leler Irene Baker, 90, of Carbon Hill, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, surrounded by her loving family.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 28, 2017, from 1:30 until 3 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017, at 3 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Larry Alexander will officiate. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayette County.

Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Mike Baker Sr.; sons, Troy Mike Baker Jr. and Robert Baker; grandson, Jeremy Reid Baker; parents, James Wilson and Myrtle Armstrong; three brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by her children, Roy “Gene” Baker, Marie Keeton (Buel Owen), Dennis Baker, Charles Baker, Glenn Baker (Misty), Barbara Haynes (Danny) and Alice McCarty (Carlos); grandchildren, Janice Smothers (Tommy), Teresa Millwood (Chris), Terry Baker, Amy Aldridge (Robert), Steven Baker (Anna), Michael Keeton, Lisa King (Mike), Mark Keeton, Shane Baker, Krista Hallbrook (Kevin), Courtney Baker, Meagan McCarty and Carlos McCarty Jr.; stepgrandson, Darren Keeton; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Delma Armstrong; and a host of extended family and friends.
