Lee Bailey Hardison, aged 72, of Athens, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Born on June 29, 1953, she was the daughter of Charles and Ernestine Carver Bailey.
Mrs. Hardison leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory. She is survived by her sons, James Elliott (married to Leigh Ellen) and Adam Hardison (married to Lauren). Her legacy extends to her grandchildren: Eva Hardison, Mattox Hardison, Bailey Grace Hardison, Davis Elliott and his fiancé Lexie Vaughan, and Jack Elliott. She is also survived by her brother, Bud Bailey.
Mrs. Hardison was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Hardison, and her son Andrew Hardison.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Mrs. Hardison on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the First Methodist Church of Athens. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the Garth Chapel of the First Methodist Church. Mrs. Hardison will be laid to rest at Bethel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Hardison to either Hospice of Limestone County or the Limestone County Animal Care and Control.
Mrs. Hardison will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
