Leamon Moore Edwards (Nub), 83, of Waynesboro, Tennessee, passed
away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Maury Regional Hospital
surrounded by family and friends. Born on Swan Creek in Lewis County to
Jack and Mary (Pope) Edwards, he lived his early life in the Ashland
community before meeting the love of his life and moving to Waynesboro.
Leamon, or Nub to most family and friends, was a man passionate about
his family and most especially his wife of 62 years, Betty (Riley). He spent
42 years tacking soles on boots at Genesco. After retirement he spent his
time with Betty and his family. He enjoyed sitting on the couch or the porch
and playing solitaire on his ipad, but if you called him he would always say
he was working.
Leamon was extremely loving and proud of his four children, Ricky and
Donna of Summertown, TN, Shelia and John Davis, Jeff and Theresa
Edwards, and LaDonna Edwards all of Waynesboro.
His pride and joy was his seven grandchildren. He lost Elijah Jack
Edwards a few years ago and we know he rejoiced in seeing him again.
His other lights will miss him fussing on them at every turn: Valerie and
Chris Yeiser of Tomball, TX; Brandi and Eric Burns, Riley and Jeremy
Reese, Jessica and Seth Dixon, and Briar Edwards all of Columbia, TN,
Jeremy Davis of Waynesboro, and Maegan Edwards of Nashville, TN.
he fourteen great grandchildren were his greatest blessings: Haleigh,
Hunter, Gabrielle, Madison, Aeryn, Isabelle, Abigail, Kendall, Keegan,
Averie, Ethan, Emma, Katherine, and Cooper.
In addition to his grandson, he was preceded in death by his parents, Jack
and Mary Edwards, two sisters, Irene Kelley and Ruth Fraizer, and a
brother, James Edwards.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Butterfly Foundation, Janet Smith Foundation or the Bob Haggard Foundation
