LCSO Arrest Two On Forgery Charges

LIMESTONE COUNTY-The Limestone County Sheriff issued a statement regarding the arrest of two suspects on several charges including forgery:

Limestone County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Steven Ferguson has been working on complaints regarding forged checks being cashed at local businesses. Investigator Ferguson identified several individuals involved in this fraudulent check scheme.
On February 25, 2022, two former Alabama prison inmates were arrested, after a tip to the Sheriff’s Office led Investigators to the 18000 block of Coffman Rd. Chief Investigator Caleb Durden and Investigator Ferguson responded to the residence. During the investigation video from a security camera inside the home was provided to investigators, that clearly showed the production of forged checks. Consent to search the property was given, where forged checks, stolen identities, and other check counterfeiting tools were located.

Adam Troy Chambers, 35, of Elkmont, Alabama, has been charged with:

Heath Allen Griffin

Forgery 2nd Degree
Trafficking in Stolen Identities
3 Counts of Possession of Forgery Device/Tools
Adams is being held in the Limestone County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
