Laura Ann Edwards, age 39, passed away suddenly on March 6, 2024, due to a cardiac arrest. Her loss was completely unexpected, and her family is profoundly saddened.
Laura was born November 4, 1984, to Cheryl Jones Crabtree and Mark Edwards in Huntsville, Alabama. She was one of four daughters: Christa, Erin, herself, and Amy Edwards.
She is survived by one son, Devin Edwards (20); daughters, Layla Edwards (15), and Ava Jones (13); and her niece Amiah Edwards (15). She is also survived by her mother, Cheryl Crabtree; father, Mark Edwards; stepmother, Lorita Edwards; three sisters, Christa Edwards Mitchell, Erin Edwards, and Amy Edwards; nieces, Amiah Edwards, Marlee and Darian Mitchell; nephews, TJ Edwards, Chris Mitchell, Marcus Jackson and Miles Mitchell.
Laura was big hearted and vibrant, and radiated light. She accepted everyone with an open heart, open arms, and a perpetual smile. She had immense passion for her children, music, and animals.
Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is deeply felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply in her wide network of community. The family genuinely appreciates your support during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Laura’s life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, 2320 Bob Wallace Ave, Huntsville, AL 35805. Be sure to wear green – our beautiful Laura’s favorite color!
