Laretha Gay Parrish, age 61 of Decatur, entered into rest on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Decatur General Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 30, 1951.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Laretha is survived by her son, George Randell Batey; daughters, Khrishanden (Timothy) Johns, Channell (Roger) Fry, Michelle (Bobby) Allred; mother, Vada Brown; 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren plus one arriving in January.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 12 years, James Parrish and father, George Dodd.
