Dois Williams, age 81 of Double Springs, entered into rest on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Hendrix Health Care, Double Springs.
He was born on April 6, 1931, in Ashridge, Alabama to George Washington and Lily Gunter Williams. He attended Pine Grove Church of God Church, Double Springs. He worked as a logger.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 6-9pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, Services will be held on Sunday, December 23, at 2:00pm at Pine Grove Church of God, Double Springs.. He will lie in state from 1-2pm. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Double Springs. Reverends T.J. Milligan, Jimmy Williams and Chris Riddle will officiate.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Earcle Williams; daughters, Rachel (Larry) Vickery, Becky (Carlton) Bales, Linda (Otis) Bell, Carolyn (Jimmy) Chilcoat; brothers, Jimmy (Pat) Williams, Billy (Gina) Williams, Paul (Kathy) Williams; sister, Barbara Hogan; he was Paw Paw to 11 grandchildren, Joey (Sharon) Bell, Juanita (Sammy) Tidwell, Mike (Cecelia) Chilcoat, Fredith (JR) Marcum, Amanda (Sam) McGough, Jennifer (Shane) Hill, Mark (April) Bales, Melody (Willie) Lane, Dusty (Jacob) Eward, Britney Springfield, Stephanie (Michael) Meadows, Tesha Vickery; 22 great grandchildren, Haven Meadows, Samuel Tidwell, Joseph Tidwell, Mikayla Tidwell, Maggie Tidwell, Brandon Hill, Breanna Hill, Cheyenne Bell, Sunny Snoddy, Kyser Campbell, Stormy Campbell, Abigail Eward, Natalie Eward, Brenley Bales, Robbie Lane, Alex Myrick, Logan Myrick, Samantha Marcum, Nicholas Marcum, Taylor Chilcoat, Michaela Chilcoat, Brody Dreher, Colton Cole, Kaitlyn Cole, Somer Robins, Autum Robins; step grandchildren, Misty (Chris) Cole, Haley (Lori) Robins, Nikki (Paul) Petrowski, April (Jason) Newman, and a host of nieces and nephews.
