Lane Elson Hester, 66, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 25, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Darren English officiating. Interment will be at Barton Cemetery.
Lane was a native of Tuscumbia and a member of Faith Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Glenn and Bettye Jo Hester.
Lane is survived by his wife, Deanna Moore Hester; children, Justin Hester, Kendal Hester, Kaitlyn Hester, Josh Hester, and Kaden Hester; brother, Dana Hester (Laura); sister, Sandra James (Steve); grandchildren, Kylie, Carter, Hudson, Henry, Mary Kollins, and Lakely; aunts, Peggy Bowling, Dottie Malone, and Ann Culberson; caregiver, Addison Holcomb; friend, Doug Curtis; and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Tyler Steele, Dana Hester, Daniel Hester, Andrew Hester, Greg Hester, and Mike Hester.
The family expresses special thanks to Addison Holcomb for loving care of Lane.
