LaDonna Rene’ Dutton Brooks, 54, of Arley, entered into rest on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
LaDonna was born on June 2, 1961 in Hartselle. She graduated from Falkville High School in the class of 1979. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church for 33 years. She was owner and operator of LaDonna’s Florist in Hartselle for many years and most recently owner of Brooks Lawn Care serving the Smith Lake area. An angel walked among us. She had such a beautiful heart. She always thought of others without any thoughts for herself. She was always there for anyone that needed a hand or just someone to talk to. She was truly a blessed woman and will be sadly missed, but will always be remembered in our hearts.
Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 9 at Liberty Baptist Church in Helicon community where services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 at 2 p.m. She will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. Brother Greg Dollar will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
LaDonna is survived by her husband of 33 years, Damon E. Brooks; father, James Dutton; son, James Butler (Emily Griffin) Brooks; daughters, Crystal Brooks (Justin) Alexander and Emily Brooks (Joshua) Baker; brother, Kirt Douglas; sisters, Patricia Dutton (Jimmy) Sigle; Tracy Aldewereld (Ned) Daniel; she was “Nona” to three grandchildren, Kaitlee Alexander, Nash Brooks and Tate Brooks.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Romelda Ann Douglas.
