Lacy King, age 84, of Sheffield, died Thursday, July 10, 2014. His family will receive friends, Saturday, 1-3 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Thomas Thornton and Rod Stansky officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia. Mr. King was a Colbert County native and a member of Hook Street Baptist Church. He was retired from Ballew and Roberts Construction and a member of Laborers Local #366. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances King, son, Lacy Dewayne King, granddaughter, Cynthia Marie Lackey, parents, Percy and Cynthia Crittenden King and his brother, Jim King. He is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Martha Rose King; son, Robert L. King (Don Dodge), daughter, Mary Evelyn Lackey (Paul), sister, Frances Walker, grandson, Tanner King and a number of step grandkids. Pallbearers are Dewayne Roden, Lee Willingham, Wyman Smith, Floyd Walker, L. T. Cummings, Roy McDougal and John Walls. The family expresses special thanks to Alacare Hospice of Muscle Shoals.
