Kevin Wells Johnston, 44, of Decatur, passed away Sunday. Mr. Johnston grew up in New Market and was a graduate of Buckhorn High School, class of 1988, and received a Computer Engineering Degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He worked for the US Army as a Computer Engineer for Blackhawk Helicopter.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Reed Johnston; son, Zane Johnston; parents, Wells and Mary Jane Johnston of New Market; brother, Mike Johnston and wife, Dee Dee, of Huntsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Don Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery in New Market.
