Kenneth Ray “Kenny” Bowden, age 70, of Columbia, TN passed away Friday, August 7, 2026, at NHC Healthcare of Columbia. He was a native of Toledo, OH, retired from Murray Ohio and South East Carriers, and a member of Deerfield Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Nell Welch Bowden; and his sister, Brenda Bowden.
He is survived by one daughter, Becky Heatherly (Phillip) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Josh Bowden of Columbia, TN; step-daughter, Syvella Hardiman Brewer of Lawrenceburg, TN; eight grandchildren, Chainey Brewer, Blaine Heatherly, Ethan Bowden, Kace Brewer, Allie Bowden, Lauren Heatherly, Evie Brewer, and Mila Bowden; one sister, Sherry Calkins of OH; one brother, Keith Bowden of CA; and mother of the children, Mary Beth Black and Kay Luna Bowden.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Monday, August 10, 2026, with Leslie Shadrick officiating. Interment will follow at Simms Ridge Cemetery in Westpoint, TN.
