Kenneth Clifford (K.C.) Roberson passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 after a brief illness. K.C. was born in Chattanooga, TN on February 13, 1955 to Margaret Hall & Thomas Clifford Roberson. K.C. attended Elbert Long School and Brainerd High School. He changed to Tyner High School in 1972 where he met Debbie McDaris. K.C. graduated from Tyner High School in 1973. He attended Middle Tennessee State University and graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Business. After college, K.C. moved to Macon, Georgia where he took his first job as a crop specialist with Gold Kist. After 2 years with Gold Kist, K.C. decided that he wanted to move to St. Joseph and manage their family farm raising cattle and hogs. He married his high school sweetheart, Debbie McDaris in 1982. They were the proud parents of Becca Roberson Bretherick, Chris Roberson, Nic Roberson, and Catherine Roberson Cox. In 1986, K.C. went to Missouri Auction School to become an auctioneer and follow in his father’s footsteps. For over 35 years, K.C. auctioned at various car auctions traveling to Birmingham, Boaz, Atala, Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga.
K.C. was a civil war enthusiast. He joined Sons of Confederate Veterans and a re-enactment group. He spent years going to re-enactments and civil war artifact shows. This became a family hobby as they all traveled to numerous battlefields across the U.S. to learn more about the Civil War.
K.C. also had a soft spot for their furry friends, treating each and every one like the valuable family member they were.
K.C. was a great husband, father, and G-Dad. He always put his family first and was so proud of his rolls. K.C. will always be remembered for living his life for his Lord and Savior. K.C. was known for his integrity and for treating people with love and kindness.
K.C. is survived by his wife Debbie (54 Years), daughters Becca and Catherine (Will Cox), sons Chris and Nic (Chelsea Smith) and grandchildren; Kylie Bretherick, Kacie Bretherick, Scarlett Roberson, Reese Roberson, Duke Roberson, Roman Cox, and Ryatt Cox. He is preceded by his parents, Thomas Clifford and Margaret Roberson.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 12th from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at Loretto Methodist Church on Sunday, September 13th at 2:00pm. Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm at the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
