Memorial service for Ken Harper, 75, of Hartselle will be Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Harper died on Monday, June 30, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born April 8, 1939, in New York to George Baines Harper and Tilda Cassidy Harper. Mr. Harper worked at Copeland Corp. and retired as an electrical engineer from NTN Bower Company. He loved boating, stock car racing, and was an avid Alabama fan. He loved his faithful pet dog, “Bear.” His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Harper; three sons, Mike Harper and Joe Harper, both of Falkville, and James Harper of Hartselle; one daughter, Toni Harper Page of Tucker, GA; one sister, Mae Von Pless of Cleveland, OH; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Special Olympics (Morgan County Chapter).
