Funeral service for Kelly Pounders will be on Monday, March 23, at 11 A.M. at Shelton Funeral Home
with Alan Watkins officiating. A time of visitation will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Burial will be at Hopewell
Church of Christ Cemetery, LaGrange Road, Leighton, Alabama.
Kelly was born on December 14, 1967, to Homer Pounders and Carol Flakes Pounders. He was a
resident of Decatur. Kelly died on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
Survivors include wife Jennifer and her children Donovan and Reagan, mother Carol Pounders
and sister Whitney Tapscott. He was preceded in death by his father Homer Pounders and his
grandparents Jean and Cecil Flakes and Homer and Joyce Pounders.
Pallbearers will be Wade Flakes, Brad Tapscott, Mike Williams, Jason Williams, Matthew Flakes,
Morgan Flakes, and Preston McCravy.
