  Obituary of Kelly Delaine CoburnKelly Lovell Coburn, 62, of Decatur, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026.

Born on March 3, 1964, in Athens, Alabama, Kelly was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was known for her caring heart, strength, and unwavering love for her family. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with those she loved, creating lasting memories, and caring for others through the simple acts of love that defined her life.

Kelly had a passion for cooking and found joy in preparing meals for family and friends. Her kitchen was a place where loved ones gathered, stories were shared, and everyone was made to feel welcome. The love she poured into her cooking reflected the love she had for those around her.

Kelly was preceded in death by her father, Billy Joe Lovell.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara Kilgro; her children, Joey Coburn and his wife, Amy, and Heather Coburn; her siblings, Patrick Lovell and his wife, Alisha, Melanie Sutton and her husband, Allen, and Scott Kilgro and his husband, Pedro; and her cherished grandchildren, Michael Coburn, Preslee Coburn, Kamryn Coburn, Elijah Coburn, Evelyn Coburn, and Cora-Eileen Coburn; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Kelly’s love, kindness, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. While her passing leaves a tremendous void in the lives of those she loved, her memory will continue to live on through the family she cherished, the meals she lovingly prepared, and the countless lives she touched.

Kelly’s legacy is one of love, compassion, generosity, and dedication to her family. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

Kelly’s Visitation will be Friday, June 5th, 2026 at McConnell Memorial Chapel from 11:00 until 12:50. A Celebration Of Life Service will be following the visitation at 1:00 in the chapel with Emmett Heard officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens.

Pallbearers are Joey Coburn, Michael Coburn, Heath King, Clint Sutton, Pedro Laboy, and Blake Lovell. Honorary pallbearers are Scott Kilgro, Patrick Lovell, and Allen Sutton.
