SHEFFIELD-The Keller Wellcare Center will present a Wellness Run and Community Family Health Fair on Saturday, April 5. The whole family is invited to this event, which is sponsored by Helen Keller Hospital, Keller Wellcare Center, Keller Sportsmedicine, and Kohl’s Cares. All activities will take place at the Keller Wellcare Center on the campus of Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield.
The Wellness Run will feature a 4 mile run and a 1 mile fun run. The 4 mile begins at 8 a.m. and the 1 mile will follow at 9:15 a.m. The cost for the 4 mile is $15 and the 1 mile is $10. The cost for both runs is $20. Proceeds benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Applications can be found at helenkeller.com or by calling the Wellcare Center at (256)386-4747.
The Community Family Health Fair will begin at 9 a.m. and will feature booths from local vendors. Vendors include Colbert County Health Department, Valley Chiropractic, Shoals Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Next Level, Jack-O-Lantern Farms, Northwest-Shoals Community College, North Alabama Bone & Joint Clinic, Air Evac, Cardiovascular Institute of the Shoals, Tomsik Eyecare, Alabama Institute for the Deaf & Blind, Milner Rushing, PAWS, Kabel Hearing, Dr. Jimmy Gardner, and more. The Sheffield Fire Department will have their Smoke House for fire education. The LifeSouth 
Blood Mobile will be on site from 9 a.m. -11 a.m. There will be two educational sessions – Kids’ Nutrition at 9:30 a.m. and Kids’ Fitness at 9:45 a.m.
There will be a check presentation at 10 a.m. from the Kohl’s Department Store to the Keller Wellcare Center’s and Kohl’s Get Fit and Go program. Kohl’s commitment to the Get Fit and Go program is made through the Kohl’s Cares cause merchandise program. Through this initiative, Kohl’s sells $5 books and plush toys and 100% of the net profit benefits children’s health and education programs.
