Keith Alan Carver, 46, of Tulsa, Oklahoma died N – Obituaryovember 23, 2013 in his home surrounded by his wife, children, mother, and granddaughter after a long battle with Frontotemporal Dementia, aka Pick’s Disease. He was born February 24, 1967 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He married Lisa Montgomery on December 10, 2010 in Fayetteville, Arkansas in a ceremony performed by his Mother. Survivors include his wife Lisa; children: Lauren, Abigail, Samantha, and Keith 2.0; granddaughter Brylee; his mother Marjorie Gilliam Clark, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma. His father Wayne and step-mother Doris Carver of Collinsville, Oklahoma; brothers: Mike Carver of Collinsville, Oklahoma, and Todd Woods of Skiatook, Oklahoma; his mother-in-law Rachel and her husband Neal Moore of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; his father-in-law Jim and wife Paula Montgomery of Pryor, Oklahoma.
Keith was a police officer much of the time from 1989 until he was forced to stop in 2011 due to his illness. Keith also enjoyed the retail and restaurant businesses. He opened the Stage Store in Pryor, Oklahoma; Goldie’s Restaurant in Talequah, Oklahoma which turned into Carver’s Steakhouse for a number of years in the early 2000’s. As a police officer Keith’s focus was on school safety and keeping drunk drivers off the road. He was named “Officer of the Year” in 2010 by OSU Medical Center. Keith was a member of Victory Christian Center. He loved to workout, cook, paint, draw, sculpt, and photography; but above all, he loved Jesus and being with his family. Keith was a very loving husband, father, and son.
Keith maintained his home according to the scripture, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15. Keith will be missed beyond words.
Services will be held on December 1, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home, Southlawn Chapel.
