Mrs. Kathy Marie Gipson, aged 59, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, at her residence. Kathy’s departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by those who knew and loved her.
Kathy devoted over 39 years of her life to the noble profession of nursing, exemplifying compassion and care throughout her career. Her dedication was especially evident in her longstanding employment at Marshall Manor, where she served tirelessly for over 27 years. Her impact on the lives of those she cared for extended far beyond the walls of the medical facility, touching the hearts of patients, colleagues, and friends alike.
Kathy is survived by her devoted husband, Tony Gipson, and their cherished children, Sharion Walls (Kevin), Toni Gipson, and Michael Green (Roxanne), Angel Wilks. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren, Brock and Kaden Walls, Hunter and Anna Abernathy, and Marleigh and Monroe Green. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth Gilbert (Michael), and sister-in-law, Carolyn Cofield (Danny).
Preceded in death by her mother, Gracie Williams (Floyd); and father, Charles Guffey, Kathy’s life was marked by the warmth of family and the bonds of friendship. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness and love.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the funeral service, which will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. A visitation period will take place on Tuesday evening from 4:30 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
The final journey to Clear Springs Cemetery will be accompanied by Brock Walls, Kevin Spears, DJ Cofield, Danny Cofield, Justin Spears, Michael Green, and Billy Marks, as they assist Mrs. Kathy to her peaceful resting place.
