Katherine Louise Rickard, 93, passed away on Tuesday, October 28th,2014. A gravesides service will be held at Cherokee City Cemetery, Thursday, October 30th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Ricky Collum officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ernest Rickard; parents, Estes Thomas Hargett and Bessie Hargett; sisters, Margene Roper and Clarcie Wimberly; and brother, Hubert Hargett.
Katherine was a member of the Cherokee Church of Christ and worked as a cafeteria manager at Cherokee High School until her retirement in 1997.
She is survived by her son, Wally Rickard, and wife Cindy of Cherokee, Alabama; daughter, Bettye Fowler, and husband George of Flowermound, Texas; grandchildren, Susan Wilz of Yorktown, Virginia, Kathy Velazquez of Miami, Florida, Ronnie Thompson and Jerry Thompson of Charlotte, North Carolina; and five great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Isabella, Luke, Emma, and Rey.
Pallbearers will be Dale Stout, Dewayne Stout, Douglas L. Hargett, Douglas B. Hargett, Mike Nelson, and George Fowler.
