Kate Willis Hughes, 85, of Thorsby, passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016. Graveside services for Mrs. Hughes will be Sunday, Nov. 26th at Harkey’s Chapel at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.
She was born Nov. 1, 1931, in Birmingham to the late Pruet O. Willis and the late Nell D. Willis.
Surviving are her daughters, Carla (James) Lumpkin, of Thorsby, Connie (Rusty) Fox, of Bremen, Georgia; Cindy (Chris) Askew, of Winder, Georgia, and Cathy Kidd, of Riverchase; sister, Jane (Jim) Smith, of Fort Payne; brother, Robert (Susan) Willis, of Bloomfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton D. Hughes; granddaughter, Bethany Fox; sister, Mary Pittman; and brothers, Rae Willis, Jimmy Willis, and Frank Willis.
Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City will direct.
