Graveside Services for Mrs. Karen Denise Gardner, age 61 of Goodwater, were held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Scott Epperson officiating.
Mrs. Gardner passed away on December 25, 2020 at her home. She was born in Tallassee, but has lived most of her life in Goodwater. She worked as a seamstress at Russell Mills for a number of years, and also served as a cook in multiple restaurants in her lifetime. She enjoyed fishing, hunting with her husband John, gardening, and tending to her rose garden. She loved and cherished her grandson Ethan, and adored her two family pets, Fina and Lulu. Mrs. Gardner also enjoyed watching her soap operas, playing games on her tablet, and just enjoyed being with her family and the beach. She attended Fairview Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, John Gardner of Goodwater; one son, Cody Gardner (Casey) of Alexander City; one grandson, Ethan Gardner of Alexander City; one sister, Beverly Bain (Danny) of Dadeville; one brother, Keith Davis of New Site; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvedge Davis and Dorothy Traylor Davis, and one brother, Robert Davis.
Active Pallbearers will be Pete Gardner, James Gardner, Chris Davis, Jerry Clifton, Alex Baird, and Wade Champion.
