Julie Anne Bryan Magnusson of Ardmore, Alabama passed away peacefully Sunday, April 13, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert “Bobby” and Julia Hughey Bryan of Elkton, TN.
She enjoyed traveling extensively, spending time with family, camping, visiting with friends, cooking, sewing, crafting, and homemaking. Known affectionately as “Grammy,” she had a sweet soul and enjoyed serving for many years as a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She was born July 26, 1948 and will be laid to rest Thursday, April 17, 2025.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years David “Dave” Cletus Magnusson, her children; Ginger Magnusson Hewitt (Chad), Scot Magnusson (Sheila), and Lori Magnusson Downing (Charles), 6 grandchildren; Jenny Hewitt Sublett (Aaron), Sydney Hewitt, Zoey Hewitt, Hazel Downing, John Magnusson, and Nathan Downing, 3 brothers; Robert “Bob” Bryan (Mary), Ron Bryan (Jan), and Gary Bryan (Cheryl), as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Services will be held at the Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, April 17. Visitation will begin at 12:30 noon and funeral services will begin at 2:00.
