Judy Montgomery Chandler – Obituary

judyJudy Montgomery Chandler, 74, of Hampton Cove passed away Monday following a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Born in Pinedale, Mississippi, she graduated from Southside High School in Memphis, Tennessee, worked as a telephone operator for South Central Bell, a dental assistant and realtor in Knoxville, TN, and a Huntsville Hospital volunteer in Huntsville. Devoted wife, mother and especially grandmother, she provided her love and guidance throughout her life with joy, laughter, and beautiful smiles.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Claude Montgomery, JR, mother, Ivy Mae Montgomery, daughter, Debra Lynette Kirby, and granddaughter, Sarah Michelle Chandler.

Judy is survived by her husband, David Chandler; son, Steven Montgomery Holcomb (Tony Webb); daughter, Patti Holcomb Hopkins (Troy); stepsons, Gary Lee Chandler (Charlene); and Robin Dale Chandler (Debbie); grandchildren, Elizabeth Kirby, Grace Shope, Shelby Rand Hopkins, Kelsey Hopkins, Kirby Hopkins, Judith Nolan, Jennifer Psioda, and Billy Black; and great grandchildren, Riley Kirby and Gage Kirby.

A memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 at Central Presbyterian Church, 406 Randolph Avenue, SE Huntsville, AL, 35801, followed by a Celebration of Life at the church.
