Judy Laine (Beegle) Hill, 77, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025, at Athens-Limestone Hospital in Athens, Alabama.
She was born November 2, 1947, in Huntsville, AL. to Hearvy Leon Beegle and Anna Ruth (Jacobs) Beegle.
Mrs. Hill, having grown up in the Hazel Green area, had lived in the Ardmore area for the past 50+ years and was a member of Wooley Springs Baptist Church. Judy loved the Lord and had a true servant’s heart. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and reading her Bible. She was most happy surrounded by her family. She was known by many names including Mom, Mawmaw, Didie and “Fruit”.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 33 years, Danny Eugene Hill; brother, Billy Beegle, and grandson Hayden Hammons.
Survivors include one daughter, Wendy (Kevin) Hammons; brother Roy (Anita) Beegle; sisters-in-law Vicki Beegle, Sadie (Kenneth) Croley, Dorothy (Dexter) Newton, Kay (Dwight) Hill, Kathy Perry and Jean Hill. Special friends and traveling companions were Deborah and Kenneth Downs; grandchildren, Samantha (Blake) Bates, Elizabeth (K.B.) Montgomery, Baylee (Jake) Taylor and Maycee Hammons; great-grandchildren, Ivy and Kipton Bates, Madelyn and Sawyer Montgomery, Jaxson and John Ross Taylor.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Tony Boyles and Bro. Jeff Drake officiating. Burial will follow in Hatchett Cemetery.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
