Judy Kivette “Kivy” Lynn Knight passed away peacefully in her home on 06/7/25 after a brief illness. Kivette was born on August 1 1950 to Ruby and Odell Lynn. Kivette’s Father served in WW2 and heard the name Kivette while recovering from his wounds in a hospital in France. . The name Kivette evolved into Kivy which she was affectionally known by those close to her. Kivette lived in Lynn Alabama most of her childhood. She and her family moved to Albertville when she was in high school. Kivette attended Albertville High School and Snead State Community College. She married Ralph Knight in 1967 and had three children Tim,Rachel, and Nicole. Kivette obtained her Real Estate license in 1988. Kivette was a talented painter. She enjoyed decorating, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her son, Tim Knight, daughter Rachel Bryant (Tommy), grandchildren, Christopher Cole Storie, Anna Garrett (Matthew), Matthew Lee Taylor (Molly), grand puppies Bandit and FatBack, great- grandchildren, Adelaide Storie, Eloise Garrett, and Flynn Garrett and former husband, Ralph Knight who she maintained a close friendship with. Kivette is also survived by many nieces a nephew and their children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter Nicole Knight, her parents Odell and Ruby Lynn, her sister and best friend Renee Powell, her brothers Stephen David Lynn, Lamar Lynn, Kenneth “Cat” Lynn, and Stephen David Lynn.
There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Memory Hill Cemetery. Rev. Steven Swords will officiate the service. Her family will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Shepards Cove Hospice for taking wonderful care of Kivette and Albertville Memorial Chapel for handling arrangements.
