Judy “Kay” Jackson, aged 60, of Lester, passed away on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025, at Athens Health and Rehab. Born on September 30th, 1964, in Limestone County, Alabama, Kay was the daughter of John T. Jackson and Ellaree Lynn Jackson.
Kay leaves behind a loving family, including her sisters Cathy Hayes (Bobby), Gayle Johnson (Mike), and Amy Jordon (Jimmy). She was a beloved aunt to 7 nieces and nephews and a great-aunt to 11 great-nieces and nephews. Her memory will also be cherished by a host of friends. The family extends a special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama and The Center for Developmentally Disabled family for their unwavering support and care.
Kay was preceded in death by her devoted parents, John and Ellaree.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 13th, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Robert Hayes officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation, which will take place prior to the service from 1:00-1:45 pm. Interment will follow at Hesters Chapel Cemetery.
Kay was a special lady, deeply loved by all who knew her. Her kindness and warmth touched many lives, and she will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her memory to The Center for Developmentally Disabled (P.O. Box 2091, Decatur, AL 35602).
