Amanda “Dale” Sanderson passed peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father and her Daddy Eugene “Nub” Sanderson on the 8th of July 2025. Dale was born on the 4th of August 1969 and passed at the age of 55.
She is preceded in death by her father Eugene “Nub” Sanderson and her Grandparents Clifford and Ozell Vasser and Herman and Alma Sanderson. She is survived by her mother, June Sanderson, her sister Sherry (Greg) Gibbs, her niece Gena (Case) Dalton, her great nieces Abigail and Charlotte Dalton, and her cousin that visited her daily, Roger Sanderson.
Dale was a charter member of Capshaw Baptist Church and was a fixture of Sunday service sitting in her special spot with her family for decades. Dale was a member of the special needs community with a diagnosis of Down Syndrome. Dale was a delight to her family and friends, all who will miss her dearly, but are celebrating her new life in Heaven where we know she is talking Daddy Nubs ear off and holding “Granny” Sanderson’s hand.
Funeral services for Dale will be Friday, July 11th, 2025, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Rex Looney and Adam Rice officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather to pay their respects during the visitation prior to the service from 12:00-1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Athens City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Case Calton, Charlie Dalton, Brad Baugher, Chad Baugher, Jay Vasser, and Lane Martin.
