Judy Carol Skelton, 71, died Sunday, November 26, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 1, 1946, in Guin, Alabama to Marvin and Jewel Trimm. She graduated from Lubbock High School in Lubbock, Texas. She was a member of Brewer Baptist Church and the Lady’s Sunday School Class. She volunteered her time to the Sanctuary Village Shoppe and Harrisburg Prison Ministry. She loved spending time with her family and being “Nona” to her grandchildren, spending time with her Sunday School class and keeping house.
Graveside Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Lee Memorial Park with Bro. Butch Moore officiating. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Andy Lee Skelton of Tupelo; two daughters, Kelly Jernigan (Tim) of Pontotoc and Kim Moore (Butch) of Carolina; one son, Michael Hendrik of Carolina and she was Momma Carol to Robert Skelton (Angie) of Sherman and Richard Skelton (Paige) of Baldwyn; ten grandchildren, Casey Jernigan, Kristin Sudduth (Michael), Anna Hendrik, John Michael Hendrik, April Hendrik, Chris Bagwell, Beth House (Michael), Chloe Skelton, Mia Skelton and Rowan Skelton; five great-grandchildren, Emma Moore, Maddy House, Sophia House, Wesley Sudduth and Kohen Harrington; and a special caregiver, Susan Jolly. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Trimm.
Pallbearers will be Robert Godfrey, Josh Brewer, Ron Brewer, Johnny Ray Knight, Nick Knight and Michael House. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Ross, Eddie McPherson, David Box, Cliff Tidwell, Jason Trimm, Jason Knight, Tommy Lindsey, Jim Long and Charles Talley.
Visitation will be 5 – 8 Tuesday at the family home and 10:30 – 11 Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
