Judith Anne Copeland, age 76 of Leighton, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Visitation will be Monday, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Randy Thompson officiating.
Judith was a native of Chattanooga, TN. She was the daughter of a Baptist minister and spent time as a child in Africa where she attended boarding school in Nothern Nigeria. She held a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Montevallo. Judith was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tuscumbia where she was a member of the Traveller’s Classroom and served as a pianist. She was also an accomplished harpist.
Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Dr. Kenneth R. Copeland, Sr.; sons, K.J. Copeland (Kim) and Brooks Copeland (Holly); brother, James B. Williams, Jr.; sisters, Marjorie Williams and Sallye Beth Morris; and grandchildren, Deacon, Kate, Cannon and Reagan Copeland.
Honorary pallbearers will be William T. Johnson, Dr. Brad McAnally, Dr. Ryan Conner, Douglas Vandiver, Dudley Vandiver, Dr. Wes Dessell and M.B. Myers.
