Juanez was a long time member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church serving as pianist for many years. She also was director of the Caring Ministry which truly reflected her desire to help others. Her faith led her to do missionary work in Africa on a couple of occasions. She often spoke at area churches following those trips.
Friends of Juanez Orr were numerous. She touched so many lives during her career in nursing, church outreach and work in the community. Her gentle disposition, humor and compassion were easily recognizable. During her three-plus year battle with cancer, those relationships she spent a lifetime building were never more present than with the visits, hundreds of cards, food and phone calls provided to her. She was very loved by family and friends and will be missed greatly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oda Clifton Parrish and Verda Almeda Daily.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Woody Orr; a son Neal and wife Paula of Huntersville, NC; a son Robert and wife Teresa; grandchildren, Caroline and Katie of Phil Campbell; brothers, Steve, Doug, Ronald and Leon Parrish; and sister, Paula Nichols; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her nephews Micah, Daniel, Mike, Terry and Jeff Parrish and Kelly Nichols.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Keith Morrow, Dr. Rossman, Ladonna Fountain and Joyce Loosier. Floral arrangements can be sent to Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville.
