Joyce S. Eakes, 81, of Huntsville, passed away Friday. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Louis E. Eakes.
Joyce was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by daughters, Gina Davis (Larry) and Sheri Henson (Barry); grandchildren, Breanna Bowden (Shawn), Andrew Davis (Rachel) and Brandon Henson; and great-grandson, Eli Bowden.
Joyce retired from the US Army Missile Command as a Logistics Management Specialist. After retiring, she enjoyed working in her yard, visiting shut ins, helping others, spoiling her two dogs, and the Prime Timers Group at West Huntsville Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 13 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, immediately followed by the service with the Rev. Scott Gossett officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
