Joyce Ann Clements Shipman – Obituary

JoyceJoyce Ann clements Shipman, 74, of Florence, AL passed away on Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 at her residence after an extended illness. Mrs. Shipman worked at South Central Bell for 36 years prior to retirement. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She will truly be missed. She was a baptized Christian in the Church of Christ faith.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 26th, 2014 from 1-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the funeral service following in the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be David Rushlow. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Shipman was preceded in death by her parents, John Wilson and Willie Delk Clements; six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Don Shipman; three children, Bryan Keith Shipman and wife Gaylette, Rhonda Paige Wallace, Amy Leigh Lambright and husband Trevor; seven grandchildren, Bryan Keith Shipman, II and wife Ashley, Samuel Austin Wallace, Ann Leslie Wallace, Catherine Ann Lambright, John Alexander Shipman, Abigale Reagan Shipman, and Madeline Elizabeth Lambright.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692 or Hospice of the Shoals.
