Josie Gay Phillips Kelley, age 73, a homemaker of Sweet Water, Alabama, died Sept. 28, 2017, at Helen Keller Hospital. She was a graduate of the University of North Alabama and served in the US Army as 1st lieutenant in the WAC. She attended Aimwell Baptist Church in Sweet Water, Alabama.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Paulette Debow, Paul A. Kelley, Mike W. Kelley, Christy Moore, Teressa Kelley, Debbie Kelley, and Scott Kelley; two sisters, Ruth Phillips and Valerie Morgan: sister-in-law, Karen M. Phillips; and many beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Kelley, and two brothers, Jim Phillips and John Phillips.
Visitation will be held at Aimwell Baptist Church on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, from noon until the 1 p.m. service time with Reverend Don White officiating. Burial will be in the Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery.
