Funeral for Joseph Loyd Pirtle Jr., 53, of Decatur, will be Monday, April 14, 2025, at 1:00pm at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Willard E. Roberts and Pastor Chris Martin officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Miday Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Pirtle passed on Friday, April 11, 2025, at his residence. He was born July 26, 1971, in Decatur, Alabama to Joseph Loyd Pirtle Sr., and Claudia Raye Young Spillers.
He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ruthie Pirtle.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Eva Pirtle; sons, Jordan Holt (Amber), and Josh Peppers (Mandy); daughter, Tresa Peppers; father, Joe Pirtle Sr., mother, Claudia Y. Spillers; sisters, Shontina Brown (Allen), and Leeann White (Bruce); three grandchildren, Heidie, Conner, and Jay Jr.; niece, Lexie Brown.
