josephFuneral for Joseph Lafayette Manley, 74, of Decatur will be Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Harold Coomer Evangelistic Association in Decatur with Pastor Harold Coomer officiating. Burial will be Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Boguloosa Valley Cemetery in Needham, Alabama. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Manley, who died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born July 26, 1942, in Carmichael, Mississippi, to Alfus Baker Manley and Nola Grace Todd Manley. He retired from the automotive industry. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was a 50-year member of the Gilbertown F&AM Masonic Lodge No. 751. He loved sports, especially Alabama football. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bobbie McInnis; and brother, AB Manley.

Survivors include three daughters, Meschelle Baker (Danny), Cleveland, Mississippi, Simone Armstrong (Gordon), Mobile and Kylene Roberts (Shawn), Selma; stepsons, William Gray (Teresa), Town Creek, Dewayne Gray, Decatur and Shawn Gray (Maranda), Hartselle; grandchildren, Kesha Gray Durham, Corey Gray, Haley Gray and son, Brayden; Chloe, Hayden and Owen Gray; Jay and Noelle Deen; Gray, Will, Peyton and Chloe Armstrong; Ella Grace, Rentz and Edith Lewis and Emma and Dylan Roberts.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Harold Coomer Evangelistic Association.
