Jonnie Fay Bishop – Obituary

Jonnie Fay Bishop, 62, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at her home. She was born February 2, 1954, to Victor Anderson Umfress, Sr., and Lula Bell Chism Umfress. She worked for Mueller Industries in Fulton for over 20 years. She enjoyed woodworking, working with crafts, and being outdoors. She was a hard worker who enjoyed life and being around her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved her nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, November 25, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Bobby Amos officiating. Eulogies will be delivered by Dennis Ruth and Pooh Taylor. Burial will be in Harden’s Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Timothy A. Bishop, of Fulton; one son, Jamie Osbirn (Jodie) of Tupelo; one daughter, Katie Thomas (Bill) of Greenville, AL; two brothers, Junior Umfress and Jimbo Umfress (Amanda); three sisters, Shirley Jamerson, Judy Kay Umfress, and Brenda Jo Summers, all of Fulton; four grandchildren, Mary Frances Osbirn, Andy Osbirn, Evan Thomas, and Anna Claire Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
