 Jonathan Steven Jackson, Sr., 61, of Athens, Alabama, promoted November 26, 2022, surrounded by family at his residence after a year-long battle with glioblastoma.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 12-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home in Florence, Alabama. A graveside service for family will follow at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park. Rusty Nelson will be officiating.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Glenn Jackson, Sr. and Sarah Ann Moore Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Belinda Corum Jackson; son, Lieutenant Jonathan Steven Jackson, Jr., USN, (Lauren); daughter, Jenny Marie Mullins (Josiah); brothers, Joseph Glenn Jackson, Jr., James David Jackson (Shelia), and Jayson Lee Jackson; and grandchildren, Eli James Klootwyk, Aurora deAnna Mullins, and Ransom William Mullins.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Jackson, Joe Jackson, Jim Jackson, Jay Jackson, Joey Jackson, and J.D. Jackson.

As a Husband, Dad, paramedic, and professional pilot, Jon Jackson faithfully lived with eternity ever in mind. He fought the good fight. He finished the race. He kept the faith.
