Jonancy "Jo" Caudle Edwards “Jo” Caudle Edwards passed away March 11, 2020. Jo was the first of three daughters born to Harvey and Ruby Caudle in Charlotte, NC.

Shortly after marrying, Jo relocated to Huntsville, AL when her husband, Ralph, began work at the Army Missile Command. Jo was very involved in the many activities of her three daughters. She was a talented seamstress who made beautiful clothes for her children and grandchildren.

For ten years Jo worked as the church secretary at First Presbyterian Church. She also served the church as a Deacon, Elder, and Clerk of Session, the first woman to serve in this role at First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible School as well as participating in the many activities of the Presbyterian Women.

Jo and Ralph volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels. They enjoyed traveling, often flying with another couple in a private plane piloted by their friend and Ralph.

Jonancy was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Ralph Lee Edwards, Jr. and her sister Rebecca Mundy Sluder. She is survived by her sister, Mary Anna Fanselow; three daughters, Rebecca “Becky” (Garry) Favor, Susan (Mark) Higginson, Sally (Joseph) Troy; four grandchildren, Robert (Alyssa) Sharp, Scott (Araceli) Sharp, Kate Pease, Elaine “Lani” (Rodney) Siddall; seven great-grandchildren, Alexandra Sharp, Demitri Sharp, Sophia Sharp, Justice Sharp, Matthew Pease, Hope Siddall, Troy Siddall; and two nephews, Henry “Trip” (Dawn) Mundy and Tom Mundy (Angie).

Visitation will be March 14, from 1 to 2 pm at First Presbyterian Church, Huntsville in the Fellowship Hall, followed by a service in the church sanctuary at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity of Madison County, Hospice Family Care of Huntsville, AL or a charity of your choice.
