Johnny Wayne Chambers, 73, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
Mr. Chambers is preceded in death by his parents, Jommie Gerome Chambers and Mattie Marie Davis Chambers, one son, John Murphy Chambers, one brother, Randy Chambers, one niece, Melinda Sims, as well as one nephew, Chris Nichols.
He is survived by two daughters, Amy (Chris) Dugger and Mandy Chambers, two brothers, Deelane (Brenda) Chambers and Billy Chambers, two sisters, Betty (Larry) Nichols and Norma Jean Laster, four grandchildren; Tyler, Jacob, Abigail, and Johnathan, four great-grandchildren; Ares, Kelly, Noi, and Kylo, one special friend, Ruthie Chambers, as well as numerous extended family members.
Mr. Chambers lived around the Elkmont area his entire life and was a member at Union Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed working around the house, piddling, and working with Gary Dubois.
There will be a visitation held for Mr. Chambers at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Monday, January 8, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Chapel Service will be held the following day, Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home and is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery. Bro. Doug Colwell will officiate the service.
